Enter-TRAIN-ment

This term has no great meaning in the modern-day training environment. people pay good money to be entertained. They arrive all kitted up ready to become a SEAL with 1 day of training.

This term was coined originally by Abner Miranda, (Tier 1 Citizen) during one of our conversations. It struck me as 100% correct. As a firearm instructor, there is a fine balance between talking throughout a class and getting the students to participate.

One of the critical aspects to avoid an entertainment show is instructor maturity. From this maturity comes a well-balanced curriculum that factoring in all the different learning styles there are, Auditory, Kinesthetic, and Visual.

Another factor under instructor maturity is knowing when a client is training beyond their ability. I've seen classes where there were clients attending who were clearly not at a level of skill set to be in that class. but as the class turned out the tactics shown would get you killed quickly.

Avoid entertainment classes, see out instructors who seek excellence.
